Dixie Leadfoot

Dixie Leadfoot & The Chrome Struts is fronted by former Frank Zappa vocalist, Suzannah (Thana) Harris, who sings and plays upright bass, making her unique among female artists. Dixie Leadfoot VLV19 for TICKETFLY wcAdd to this two world-class players, Tim Wallace on guitar and Joe Clark on drums, and you have a dynamite rockabilly trio that has been rocking venues, festivals and summer concerts in the Denver, CO region and beyond since 2012. The band presently has two full albums: “Heels on Fire!” and “Dixie L Live!” Though Harris (Dixie Leadfoot) gets around the upright bass, she considers her main instrument her voice, belting out high energy originals like “Crackin’ the Whip” as well as putting her stamp on monumental covers like Roy Orbison’s “Crying”. Tim Wallace (Nitrobillies, Cora Vette) is a seasoned rockabilly, blues, R&B and jazz player whose creativity lays down heavy-weight guitar parts that’ll nail you to the wall. And then there’s Joe Clark and his drums: powerful, bombastic and precisely reckless, unless of course it’s time to rumble effortlessly through a tender but intense ballad. Buckle up and hang onto your hat ‘cause Dixie Leadfoot & The Chrome Struts is anything but a cruise down Main Street.
